The Community Service Trip In Phattaya

Last week on Friday, our grade went on our advisement trip to Pattaya, for a day of community service. We were supposed to be off somewhere nice for three days but then the floods that hit a while ago changed that. This trip to Phattaya was supposed to give us a sense of community service, which I dislike. We were split into three groups, and I was taken to Father Ray's Children's Village. Now the work wasn't that exhausting but the time that we had (one and a half hours) was very limited, and we had to rush the work sometimes. The worst part in this trip would be the painting of the equipment. By the time we got to painting, we had about 30 minutes left so we had to rush it. Paint was also going everywhere, and all of us, I believe, got some paint on ourselves. After all that work was done, we had some time to clean up and see where all our effort went. Cleaning up wasn't a pretty experience because the paint on us had dried onto our skin so cleaning it with water just won't make it go away. Some of us even tried using sandpaper to scrub it out, and it did work a bit. We later found out that using paint thinner would wipe the paint but it would be a little bit painful. I used the thinner and it removed almost all the paint from me and it stung for a while. I wasn't too happy with this trip; for some reason, we can't have some of our own fun in the bus without getting in trouble, which we did. I mean, we just painted a whole playground, we're bored and we want to have some fun. Hope this kind of trip won't happen anytime soon.
